Grows to 24” to 48” high, large arrowhead shaped leaves
are up to 18” long. Striking black leaves with wide green veins. Great choice
for a pond or water feature and excellent in a mixed pot with no drainage holes.
Try with such plants as Variegated Cat’s Tail, Acorus columnus ‘variegatus,’
variegated papyrus, and other water plants. Taros usually stay under 24” when
grown in pots; they will also grow in regular garden soil as long as it doesn’t
dry out.
